    Centrifugal atomizing process

Used mainly for the manufacture of brazing powder for solder paste, this method involves molten solder flowing from tiny holes onto a rapidly rotating disc placed in vacuum or an inert gas so that the molten liquid is thrown off by the centrifugal force and solidifies to form fine solder powder. In this method, almost no oxidation occurs and spherical solder particles are produced, offering an excellent alternative in the production of solder powder for solder paste to gas atomization where it is difficult to get round solder particles.
