    Meniscographic method

Device used for measuring the forces of buoyancy and surface tension acting on a test sample (base material) when it is dipped into a solder bath. Since the time needed to complete the wetting process is dependent on the fluxing agent and the material, a quantitative evaluation of solderability is possible through the analysis of the wetting curve measurements. See also Wetting balance and Wetting speed.
