    Heat sink

Sink refers to the washbasin in the kitchen, or in a more general sense to a vessel where something accumulates. The more the integration density of LSI packages increase s, the more heat they produce, causing their surface temperature to rise above 80 °C at times. Components or devices designed to receive this exhaust heat are known as heat sink s. Such components are, for example, metal plates inserted under or on the top of printed circuits which receive and emit heat generated or stored by the components and the circuit board itself . AIN boards have the advantage that they have an isolating effect while simultaneously conducting heat well.
