Water White, WW
Water white means "crystal clear" and refers to the color of the rosin. According to the ASTM standard, WW is the purest form of rosin. In the U.S. standard, this category is identical to type "R". As the industrial designation ("non-activated rosin") suggests, it possesses a very low chemical reactivity and is therefore usually provided with a suitable activator for use as a soldering flux .
