    Also known by the acronym COG. Depending on the method, an electrode made of ITO (indium tin oxide) is mounted on a glass substrate and used for soldering the chip or a conductive adhesive is used for mounting the chip. The figure shows an example of the latter variant, known as stud bumping process. See also ITO.
