    Gibb’s free energy

    Also known as thermodynamic potential or free energy at constant pressure. The Gibbs free energy is defined as follows:

    G=F+pV

    Here p is the pressure, V is the volume and F is the Helmholz free energy for which F=U-TS where U is the internal energy, T is the absolute temperature and S the entropy. See also Surface tension.
