Soldering terminology

Removal of excess solder from a solder- coated circuit board which is tarnished for storage or must be reworked. In this process, the solder is melted and blown off or removed by making use of the centrifugal force. If air is used, the procedure is called hot-air thinning or hot-air leveling.
